There is so much help and support available if you know where to find it. This website is designed as a one-stop information service for those who are looking for assistance during a mental health crisis. Please use the menu above to find more information.
If you are in a crisis and having thoughts of suicide or considering hurting yourself then please talk to someone you trust before you do anything.
Ask a parent, family member or friend to help you and go straight to a GP, out of hours clinic, hospital or garda station and get immediate assistance.
If a friend mentions suicide, take it seriously. If they have expressed an immediate plan, or have access to prescription medication or other potentially deadly means, do not leave them alone. Get help immediately.
If the situation is not an immediate crisis you can contact any helpline 24/7 for advice and help.
If you have to get away from your home, been assaulted or abused, if you are being followed, if you feel threatened, are in danger or you need assistance at any time go to one of the safe havens near you shown on our Safe Haven map, or find any place where there are other people such as a shop, bar, restuarant, bank or post office and ask them for help.
